Festive food and Happy New Year
A belated Merry Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year. For the first time since my childhood, I am actually awake and active on New Year’s Day. I must be getting old.
I have been doing lots of eating and drinking in Sydney, so much I am not sure I will ever have time to blog about it all. For now, here are some photos of the things I ate over Christmas. I’m afraid due to copious amounts of alcohol, which affects both my sight and my patience, they get rather blurry as the nights progress…

And that's just 3 days!!!
Pleased I shared in all this with you - so yummy!
I'm looking forward to the next photo post so I can remember all the food we have consumed over the past 3 and a half weeks...it's all become rather a blur of delicious goodness.
The great thing about the photos is how they provide instant recall of not just the food , but the wonderful days we spent together. Your visit to Sydney has inspired me on the eating front. Looking forward to the write up when you have time - if you do x
Hi Cha, it will be a big one. Sadly due to computer troubles I won't be able to do it for a week or two yet. X
Hi Ma, there's too much to write up, but there'll be a restaurant photo post when I've sorted my computer problems. X
Hi Luci, thanks for the comment. Ooh, sounds lovely. Do let me know if you enjoy them. Xx
Hi Jen, I think Mum tried to call you at the time. We weren't expecting Papi's to be open, it was the first few days. To be honest, it was quite hit and miss, but I would give them the benefit of the doubt given it was early days. There was certainly potential. Rating system is a great idea - I will try to add them when I have time. In the meantime, highlights were The Devonshire, Hartsyard, Orto, Izakaya Fujiyama, Cipro Pizza al Taglio, Kepos St Kitchen. Foodwise, I would not be bothered about going back to Bau Truong, Sanyiwe, or the Oxford Tavern, though they were all nice venues. And it is worth noting that the service was terrible at Popolo and Izakaya Fujiyama; in the latter case they had an excuse (unexpectedly incredibly busy with limited staff), at Popolo they did not (we were one of 2 tables and there were plenty of staff). Xx
